I’ve struggled as an IV drug user on and off through my whole adult life. After getting sober at 26, I went to school and became licensed to help others. But once again I found myself back in the depths of hell. I have seen a lot of treatment centers, both as a patient and therapist. This program here was one of the best experiences of my life. The owner of the establishment spent over 4 hours on the phone with me as I hesitated to give treatment another chance. That is something I have never seen before. All the rest of the staff were very amicable and encouraging. Clinical staff were very adept and experienced in their various therapeutic niches and rendered me a space to process the underlying traumas that kept me in the same cycle for years. At almost 90 days sober, I have my wife and two children in my life again. I have purpose when I wake up and I’m not controlled by unconscious patterns anymore. If you want a program that will give you an opportunity to address the REAL reasons for your drug and alcohol use and that cares about the individual and their lives as a whole, this program is one that will give you the opportunity to get your life back.

Oh my goodness, let me tell you about Embers! I just finished up my stay there, and honestly, I feel like a brand new person. It’s not just a place to stay; it’s like a little community of support and understanding.
From the moment I walked in, the staff was so welcoming. They really get what you’re going through and treat you with so much respect and kindness. The living spaces are comfortable and clean – a real sanctuary when you need it most.
What I loved most was the sense of connection I felt with the other residents. Sharing experiences and knowing you’re not alone in your journey is incredibly powerful. The meetings and group sessions they offer are so helpful, providing tools and insights that have already made a huge difference in my sobriety.
And Phoenix! What a beautiful place to focus on healing. The weather is amazing, and there are opportunities to get out and connect with nature, which I found so therapeutic.
