Evidence-Based Therapy for Addiction and Mental Health

We’re in the business of rebuilding the life you or your loved one had before recovery. We’re helping you wipe the slate clean and cultivate the best version of yourself that has yet to exist. One that is stronger, better equipped, healthy, and resilient.

Therapy helps facilitate this transformation. It is in this framework that we address trauma, build new coping skills, and learn to manage emotions in order to improve everyday life. In therapy, recovery takes place. We take a holistic approach to treatment at Embers Recovery and incorporate a wide range of evidence-based interventions. Browse the offered modalities below.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Therapies

How many therapy sessions do patients attend each day?

The number of sessions depends on the prescribed level of care or treatment program. Each program offers a varying degree of treatment and support sessions based on your unique needs. The PHP program is a full-time program with multiple sessions per week, while the Aftercare Program offers therapy sessions as needed.

What therapy is best for addiction treatment?

One of the gold standards of addiction treatment is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). This modality addresses the key underlying patterns that happen subconsciously in your mind that contribute to harmful patterns like substance use. By identifying those patterns and redesigning your behavior, you can address and overcome those patterns to create a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. However, patients will find the most success when CBT is incorporated into a greater treatment program that addresses every need on a holistic level.[2]

How is a co-occurring disorder treated with therapy?

A co-occurring disorder or dual diagnosis presents as both a mental health condition and a substance use disorder. The best way to treat a co-occurring disorder is to address each disorder specifically and how they impact your overall well-being together.
